How many hours qualifies as a full day?
8 hours including a 30 minute break. Anything over requires prior negotiations on the day (at least 2 hours before end of 8 hour shift) for confirmation. Please do not assume that overtime work is available on the day.
How may hours qualifies as a half day?
5 hours without break. Anything over requires prior negotiations on the day (at least 1 hours before end of 5 hour shift) for confirmation. Please do not assume that overtime work is available on the day.
Do you take non-monetary/in-kind payment?
Simple answer, no. Just like any tradesperson or professional, I need to pay the rent. I appreciate offers of dinner (yes, I love food) but I love having a roof over my head more. If you have special circumstances or are a not-for-profit, I am open for negotiations. Thanks for understanding.
How does payment work?
After an initial consultation (either, email/phone/in person) I will send you a quote. If you agree to the terms & conditions, as well as the price, I will begin work effectively immediately upon receiving 50% of payment. This payment goes towards costs during the project, as well as securing the job on both of our ends. Once the final deliverables are sent to you, an invoice (minus 50%) will be sent to you.
How many revisions do I get?
Two. After the initial consultation and 50% deposit, I will draft an appropriate amount of options.
From this first selection, you will choose your most favourable (Revision 1) and identify what you like/don’t like and revisions.
I will then present you ONE design/option. Here, you will give your final revision (Revision 2) of which I go back to the drawing board and create your final piece.
This will be presented to you before agreed deadline. If at this point you would like further revision, an hourly rate of $50 will be added to final invoice and work continues until you are happy with design/or we meet final deadline.
If the deadline happens before your satisfied with work, an invoice will be sent as well as your work with an invoice at this point. Further refinement becomes a new job, and the process starts again, once the invoice for the job is paid and we can continue working to a new deadline.
What if I don’t really like what you’ve come up with?
The 50% deposit is unfortunately non-refundable. This is because it covers out-of-pocket costs and time/outsourcing/utilities. If you are unsatisfied with the work created, you will not be liable for the last 50% of the costs, but please be aware - ALL WORK IN WHICH FULL PAYMENT IS NOT MADE WILL REMAIN THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OF KIMBERLY SUMMER. Any use of work by Kimberly Summer or work that resembles work by Kimberly Summer will be subject to legal action against the client. This means you cannot use any of the work, including drafts/revisions/ideas by Kimberly Summer.
